Partnerships for transformation in higher education
The Department of Cyber Security of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv together with National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Odessa Politechnic National University and Cherkasy State Technological University participate in the Erasmus+ project on the development of a 3D cyber security environment – “The Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), Strand 2 – Partnerships for transformation in higher education.”
The EC project number is 101129022. Registration in the Ukrainian system is under preparation.
The main goal of this project is to eliminate the existing gap between the rapid development of the digital world transformation and the training of specialists in various fields, especially those not related to IT.
It should be expected that activities in many spheres of business will soon be transferred to a virtual workspace. These trends form a demand for the training of specialists who are not only experts in their professional activities, but able to work effectively in a significantly different form of business.
Technical preparation for this process is an important issue which needs a proper solution, along with the psychological aspects of training for mental readiness.
To ensure a smooth digital transformation in non-IT industries, it`s professionals should find a way to adapt to the digital world. This can be done through specially designed courses and trainings of specific industries and provide accurate insight into the digital technologies and tools which can be applied in the area of professional knowledge.
In order to be able to train professionals qualified to work in the digital workspace, higher education institutions themselves need digital transformation. In today’s realities of the digital XXI era, universities are already introducing elements of the virtual workspace into the educational process: e-classes, online lectures, digital communication, etc. create a modern educational environment.
Specific goals of the project:
- To help students adequate the next generation “virtual” labor market and its challenge for professionals ready for “digital” work and workplace communication and collaboration.
- To increase the working capacity of students of any speciality in the conditions of further human activity digitalization.
- To support universities in developing an innovative learning environment and learning process for informal “digital” education of students of all specialities, which includes the latest technologies of AI, XR and digital art, as well as communication skills, ethics, legal aspects and maintaining mental comfort.
