In 1989, according to the order of the Rector № 838 of May 29 the same year, was created a laboratory of mini computers. Later, in 1997, the laboratory was equipped with modern computers and since 1 October that year has been called Information Technology Laboratory.

Activities at laboratory are aimed at introduction of new information technologies in the educational process and scientific research at faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Involving academic staff and students offers the possibility to select the most promising software for use in educational and scientific process.
