Course description

The course examines the direct and iterative methods for solving systems of linear equations (SLE), iterative methods for eigenvalue  problems. We present the basics of methods for linear systems of large dimension and linear least squares problems. Much attention is given to the study of numerical stability and convergence of methods, taking into account the rounding errors, algorithms and its implementation on computers.
